The Red Deer Symphony Orchestra announces the following vacancies:

Principal Bass
Section First Violin
Principal Bassoon

Local Auditions* for these positions are scheduled in Red Deer (exact location TBD) as follows:

September 8, 2025 (exact time TBD)
 

The musicians in the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra must be Canadian members

of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 547.​

*The first round of “local” auditions will be open to musicians residing within a 135 km radius
of Red Deer city limits. If either position is not filled during the first round of local auditions,
the position will be opened to members of Local 547 and scheduled at a later date. Members
of Local 547 are welcome to apply at any time, but confirmation of their participation in any
audition will not be confirmed until after the local Red Deer auditions on September 8, 2025.
